The Aligners Process
At your initial consultation, Dr. So will discuss your orthodontic needs and evaluate whether treatment with clear aligners is right for you. Clear aligners like Invisalign can treat a wide range of teeth-straightening issues, including crossbites, crowding, open bites, gapped teeth, overbites, and underbites.
A member of our team will use the iTero scanner to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. With the Smile Simulator, you’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.
As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. We may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule checkups every eight weeks or so.
To ensure successful treatment with clear aligners, you must be compliant with the care instructions. While Invisalign trays are removable, they must be worn for at least 18-21 hours each day to work. Following your treatment plan as instructed by Dr. So is essential, as is maintaining scheduled appointments at our office.
